Aleppo (Syria)/Amman: The Syrian Army and its allies made innovative gains in Aleppo on Sunday, pushing rebels back into an ever diminishing pocket inundated with civilians, however lost control of city of Palmyra to a swift ISIS attack.

The final victory in Aleppo, Syria's would likely amount to the most significant triumph for President Bashar Al Assad and his coalition of Russian air power, Iran and militias.
