War! Democrats Vs. Republicans Over A Funding Bill For The Flint Water Crisis

Senate Battles On An Increase Of Founding The Flint Water Crisis

The United States House of Representatives on Thursday, December 8, 2016 incontrovertibly approved legislation to keep federal agencies funded until April 28, 2017 .

In addition, the approval will prevent government shutdowns right at the end of this week when current appropriations expire.

The vote of Three hundred twenty six to ninety six, experienced opposition from Democrats who are annoyed over the refusal by Republicans to incorporate a long-term extension of expiring healthcare benefits for retired coal miners and their families.

Instead, the bill would likely continue the benefits only until next April 2016.

West Virginia Democratic Senator Joe Manchi stated, “I’ve never seen anything this callous in my life.”

As a result, the Senate may not be able to vote on the spending bill right until sometime this weekend.

This will technically put the United State government into a partial shutdown mode on Saturday.

Flint, Michigan, has suffered a 2 1/2 year struggle with lead contaminated drinking water, would certainly get access to a $170 million fund for infrastructure enhancements and lead poisoning avoidance within the bill. At first the bill asked for approximately $145 million.

The United States Senate Democrats on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2016 obstructed a Republican stop-gap founding bill to finance the government and fight Zika due to the fact it didn't incorporate money for Flint, Michigan, to address the city's drinking water crisis.

Congress was incapable to pass them in part mainly because of internal disagreements among Republicans on a number of of those measures, and due to the fact As long as these caps were enforced on other domestic programs.

The United state Congress probably will end up quarreling well into 2017 over spending priorities for the current fiscal year, even as it will have to begin contemplating funding government operations in fiscal 2018.

The action came 3 days prior to last night's midnight deadline.

This is when agencies are set to run out of funds.

One feasible option was recommended by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who mentioned he may possibly stop flood money for Louisiana and other states.

To 'satisfy Democrats' who was adamant they wouldn't support emergency disaster aid for some states. Mean while leaving Flint behind.

McConnell told reporter, "We keep hearing that their position is no Flint, no floods. And that's certainly an option worth discussing."

Democrats didn't immediately say if they will agree to the GOP proposal.

Farther more, twelve GOP senators voted against the measure for reasons varying from issues over spending to the bill's "lack of language" creating changes to the Export-Import Bank . It was a solid block of "nay" votes from Democrats that halted the bill.

Here is a breakdown on the aid coming to Flint:

$100,000,000 for the Safe Water Drinking Act State Revolving Loan Fund, which in turn Flint can use to replace lead service lines and other water facilities improvement needs.
$50,000,000 for extended health care, which includes the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program, Healthy Start Program and funds to produce a lead exposure registry.
$20,000,000 in loans accessible through the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA), that will be available to Flint and other communities for water infrastructure improvement projects to address lead and other water contamination issues.
Congressional action on money for Flint has dragged on for most of the year.

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid mentioned to reporters that" There's no excuse for leaving the people of Flint, Michigan, behind. If they're helping Louisiana, they have to help Flint."
So, as the United state Senate battles it out again on where our money should go, (In helping who), Citizens of Flint Michigan could be abominated due to lead contaminated pip
es. In which were not maintained.

1.Is this one of the plans the government has population control?
2.Is this just an over look of our so called government to save them money or pocket it?

          3. Is there an underlying plot to start the extermination of America?

          4. Do you agree that the bill to help Flint Michigan Too much?
